Veterans Day is celebrated each year on November 11th. The holiday was established to honor the men and women who serve and have served in the United States Armed Forces. November 11 also commemorates the end of World War 1.
Veterans Day is especially important to me because I am a veteran, I served in the United States Army for 22 years. There are over 18 million veterans in the United States and over 2 million of them are women.
